Due to Covid 19, the course for Race to the Straits has changed, and there will not be a party.  Each day, there will be a race starting in Shilshole Bay and returning to Shilshole Bay.  More details are coming soon.   Registration will open on April 1, 2021.

Normally, Race to the Straits starts in Shilshole on Saturday morning and ends at Port Townsend on Saturday afternoon. Most boats raft up in Point Hudson with a catered halfway party at the nearby Northwest Maritime Center. On Sunday, the race starts at Port Townsend and finishes at Shilshole. This race sells out every year, with a maximum of 125 boats (subject to change based on room in the marina.) This race features some challenging currents and sometimes challenging winds. It is a great first race for those with cruising experience.
Welcome to Introverted Sailing! The Triple Sound Series is three races that are all single-handed or double-handed.
