Join us for a fun, festive pot-luck in the S2 Shelter beside the Blake Island Marina on January 25-26th. We've had some pretty fancy grub cooked on the fire in the past - from Reubens to lamb stew to fire grilled salmon.
Please bring a bundle of wood or fire starters, a dish to share and your favorite ginger beer for the Moscow Mules. We'll provide the vodka and lime. There are 6 picnic tables in the shelter, so there is plenty of room to eat and play games. Lanterns would be appreciated. There is also a small BBQ pit just outside the shelter for an outdoor fire if wanted.
The marina does not take reservations, but rafting is allowed, so be prepared to help your neighbors tetris into the marina. We've had more than 20 boats in the past. The pay station is at the head of the ramp, or you can go to the office and buy an annual moorage pass for all the WA STATE marine parks. Be aware there may not be enough electric for everyone, so those that don't need it, please leave it vacant for someone that does.
VERY IMPORTANT - this is a pack in pack out park. PLEASE take your trash back with you and don't leave it to the organizer to do it for you. There are MANY raccoons on the island, so don't leave your boat open unattended, and stow the trash below overnight. I'll be bringing compostable items that can be put into the fire. ALSO IMPORTANT - we must be OUT OF THE SHELTER by 10pm - this is strictly enforced. We'll be trying to clean up starting at 9 and would appreciate your help.
